‘Freezing stress tolerance in plants’ Seminar held in JUST

A seminar on the ‘Freezing Stress Tolerance in Plants and it's imperative in the Era of Global Climate Change’ was held at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST). Matsueyo Yimura, Professor of Plant Bioscience at the University of Iwate University, Japan, gave the keynote speech in the seminar.

The seminar was held at the University Research Cell at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Academic Building Gallery on Saturday afternoon. JUST Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain was present as the chief guest. Prof. Anwar said that the Iwate University of Japan is far ahead in education and research than JUST.
Associate Professor of Plant Bioscience at Iwate University Abidur Rahman discussed in detail the application of arsenic adsorbent plants and various aspects of their arsenic absorption to reduce the harmful effects of arsenic.
