A circular, signed by Election Commission System Manager Mohammad Ashraf Hossain, was issued in this regard on Tuesday

The Election Commission (EC) has decided to use closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in all voting centres of the upcoming Dhaka North and Dhaka South City Corporation election on February 1.

According to circular, all polling centres will also remain under the CCTV surveillance on demo voting day on January 30 and 31.

The commission also directed returning officers of the two city corporation elections to take all necessary steps to use CCTV cameras in every voting centre at least last three days prior to the voting day.
