2 bodies of missing 4 college student's recovered from Dhaleshwari

Divers of Savar Fire Service and Civil Defense today recovered the body of a student named Akash of Dhanmondi Ideal College who with  his two classmates got missing at one in the Dhaleshwari river located at savar yesterday.

Liton Ahmed, senior station officer of Savar Fire Service and Civil DefenseOfficials confirmed that the recovered body was of Akash.

Mentioned, Akash and two of his classmates went missing when they went for a swim yesterday in the Dhaleshwari River. His body was recovered from the Dhaleshwari river this morning.

The body was recovered half a kilometer downstream from where the three went missing, the official said.

Two units of fire fighters are working to trace the two other missing students of the same college situated in Dhanmondi.

The three -- Akash, Razon, and Mehedi, all grade-XI students of the college -- were swept away by strong current when they went swimming in the river.

Bunking classes, 12 students went to their classmate’s house in Savar’s Banktown area. Around 11:30am yesterday, they went swimming in the river but strong current swept three of them away, said one of the students.

Two more students of the group -- Jahid and Manik -- were admitted to Enam Medical College Hospital.
