Jahirul Islam and Enamul Haque

The largest organization of Bangladeshi students those who are studying in Malaysia, has been  successfully held with a discussion meeting at Rasna Bilas restaurant in Tuesday.

Professor Abul Bashar of Mahsa University was present as the chief guest at the function, presided over by Dr. Faizul Haque, President of Bangladesh Student Union. Among the Advisory board members, SM Rahman Parvez, President of Bangladesh Community Press Club, former presidents Mohammad Rabiul Islam and Abdul Bashir were present.

In the council, Jahirul Islam, president of the University Putra Malaysia, was unanimously announced as president who is pursuing PhD in Universiti putra Malaysia  and Enamul Haque as general secretary who is the student at  University of Technology Malaysia. Borhan Uddin,  PhD student of  International Islamic University, was nominated as senior vice president.

It is to be noted that newly appointed President Jahirul Islam was the Senior Vice President of the Executive Committee of BSUM in 2019 and Elected President of Bangladeshi Students Association University Putra Malaysia (BSAUPM) and newly appointed General Secretary Enamul Haque was the General Secretary of BSUM in 2019.

All the speakers said that Bangladeshi students studying in Malaysia were brought under the same umbrella and thanked BSUM for playing a role in brightening the image of the country in Malaysia and urged them to play more role in the development of their country.

The outgoing president Faizul Haque mentioned in his speech that BSUM is a systematic and dynamic organization. There is no place for those who are not student.I am the  example. Before the expiry of the tenure, I announced a new committee as I am going to completed my student life.

The newly elected president, Jahirul Islam reminded the members of BSUM about their huge responsibilities towards the country and the nation. He urged the students studying abroad to make themselves skilled through higher education so that they can contribute significantly in the development of the country.

It is to be noted that Bangladeshi Students Union Malaysia (BSUM), established on the 2014, is the largest organization of students studying in Malaysia. In order to unite Bangladeshi students regardless of their religion, religion, caste, the organization is organizing various programs including seminars, career camps, sports competitions, cultural competitions to make them efficient in education and other activities.

In these programs, prominent  scholars, researchers, youth leaders from different countries were present as guests. BSUM has also been working to highlight the development  of Bangladesh and the contribution of Bangladeshis in various fields at Malaysia.
