15 dead as trawler carrying Rohingyas capsizes in Bay

At least 15 people have died as a trawler carrying dozens of Rohingyas capsized near Saint Martin's Island in the Bay of Bengal on their way to Malaysia.

The incident of capsize took place early Tuesday.

Lt Commander Nayeemul Haq of Bangladesh Coast Guard's Saint Martin's Island station confirmed the figures of death.

Sixty-five Rohingyas were also rescued in the incident, he added.
